History 101
A space to nerd out on stories from history’s pages and understand why things are the way they are. Learning through reading, visual and artistic explorations, group activities and a lot of discussions!
Age group: 8 to 13 years old
Price: Rs. 1800 per child (4 sessions a month)
Batch: 12-1 pm IST, Wednesday (7th Oct starting date)

Input
In the class we will explore the history of a variety of ideas, things and communities and craft our own opinions of those times. Children will observe and understand different cultures from around the world, not just their own. Learn history from an open and unbiased lens (as much as possible) while holding space for our own compassion and empathy.

Output
As a result children develop transferable skills:

Build empathy for people and species that don’t share the same values or traditions.

Learn valuable lessons on humanity and avoid past mistakes.

Develop a sense of identity as a human collective.

Why?
History tells us who we are, where we come from and could reveal where we are headed.
Learning and teaching history is close to my heart as I think it’s important for us to not repeat the mistakes of our pasts and grow towards become a more empathetic and inclusive society.
